     What could be more fun than enjoying one doll, while waiting for the next? The Little Doll Collector is a 14� porcelain African-American doll carrying her exquisite parian-type doll in one arm while waiting to hold the guild gift-a black parian-type doll of a different sculpt. The Little Doll Collector is dressed in a pink silk dropwaist with blue embroidered polka dots. Her doll is dressed in pink silk.

     During the Gilded Age of the 1870�s, opulence reigned. This 14� lady wears an exquisite black check and red visiting gown of silk dupioni consisting of double-breasted basque, apron overskirt and skirt. The skirt is bordered with a flounce and ruching and a large bias trimmed bow. Her basque features bias trim and ruching with a gathering of lace at the throat. She carries an ornate walking stick with a rhinestone finial. A feather trimmed hat sets atop her brown curls. She has brown glass eyes.

     Gigi is a turn-of-the-century French schoolgirl, dressed in a middy of pink dupioni silk trimmed in black. She has dark violet eyes and a delicate hand-tied human hair wig of dark brown. She is only 9� tall and comes on a spring-jointed, hand-carved wooden body. Gigot is a black standard poodle and wears a collar studded with rhinestones.

     One hundred and twenty-five years ago, teenager, Eliza Shirley � a Hallelujah Lass, as they were called in England � single-handedly started the Salvation Army in America.  The story is told in Wendy Lawton�s book, The Hallelujah Lass. Eliza is dressed in the navy wool serge precursor to the famous Salvation Army uniform and bonnet. Eliza has strawberry blond hair and blue eyes. An autographed copy of the book is included.

     Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the beloved classic, The Lawton Doll Company issues this Lawton Library edition of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. She comes in an apple green leather book/presentation case. Packed inside find Rebecca�s treasured parasol, a box of Rose Red and Snow White soap, a sewing basket with pincushion and scissors, her pink gingham dress, shoes and stockings. Rebecca wears her hind-side-foremost dress and has dark brown mohair braids and sparkly brown eyes.

     It�s no wonder Laurie falls in love when he sees her. The youngest March sister, Amy, studies art in Paris, but she is a picture herself. She wears an exquisite costume of pink silk, matching embroidered silk and sunset pink silk trim. She comes with her palette, brush, easel and oil painting. Her pale blonde curls are mohair and her eyes are blue glass.

     Kristine treasures her turned-head, leather bodied, German Kestner dolly.  Kristine is dressed in a silk jacquard and dupioni frock in shades of tobacco and gold. Her kid-bodied Kestner has a tiny mohair wig and inset glass eyes and is dressed in antique eyelet and batiste. Kristine has brown hair and gray eyes.

     Lilla Brita is overjoyed to be coming to America from Sweden.  Her hand-painted rosemaled chest is packed with her warm quilt, her Santa Lucia costume, Lucia crown of candles and her Swedish dala horse. She wears a red cotton dress, a red flannel pinafore and a warm stocking cap. She has a human hair, hand-tied wig and blue eyes.

     Take a walk down memory lane with this 14� porcelain classic Lawton doll. Her cotton dress is �medium green� with cream stripes around the hem-inspired by the famous pottery and utensils of vintage 1940�s kitchens. She wears Mom�s apron made of replica vintage cotton and carries a wooden rolling pin.
