The Seasons collection began in 1988 with the introduction of Amber Autumn. Her open expression is seasoned with a sprinkling of freckles and big brown eyes. She has a unique wig designed by Wendy in a new strawberry blonde color specially blended just for her. Carefully clutching her leather satchel, Amber is dressed in a soft velveteen coat and cloche hat in a rich autumn-y rust. Her dress is a lovely tiny matching print. She has matching knee highs and wonderfully detailed handmade leather shoes.

The Seasons Collection will portray children of the 1930's - that wonderful era when little girls dressed barely covered their bloomers... when America was mesmerized by the talents of a dimpled mop-top Shirley Temple...and when everyone learned to hold up their chins, roll up their sleeves and bring the country back to prosperity. And more than just a nostalgic look at an era, this collection celebrates the richness and beauty of our changing seasons.

Summer Rose - 1989

The warm summer sun shines down on Summer Rose, the second edition in the Seasons Collection. Summer Rose with her blonde curls and blue eyes carries a woven basket filled with fragrant dried roses. Keeping with the 1930's style the Seasons Collection portrays Summer Rose is dressed in a charming baby-doll dress of apple green and dusty rose, over a crisp white eyelet slip. A large matching hair bow and white lace anklets complete her outfit.

Crystal Winter - 1990

The first flakes of snow had barely drifted to the ground before little Crystal Winter began getting dressed to go out to play. She could imagine herself building a jolly snowman or making angels in the snow or maybe even sledding down the hill... But by the time Crystal was ready to go, Mother had her so bundled up she could barely toddle outdoors.

As eagerly anticipated as the first spring crocus, Spring Blossom is the final issue of our first collection of dolls celebrating the four seasons. She is the epitome of the 1930's perfection with her carefully marcelled brunette waves and sparking green eyes. Her crisp, Swiss organdy dress is sprinkled with wreaths of tiny pink and green embroidered blossoms. She wears a delicate circlet of silk ribbon and pearls around her neck and wrist. Spring Blossom is all-porcelain and is 14" tall.
