Playthings Past Collection |
The Victorian period was perhaps the finest era of childhood. The family revolved around the children. Their toys were beautifully handcrafted, and no expense was spared to provide them with the most exquisite playthings imaginable. Wendy has captured the very essence of Victoriana with the newest collection, Playthings Past. This is a complete collection, ending with the three dolls that have been introduced for 1989. Wendy was interested in presenting a unique family of children; an older brother and sister and a little sister. They are sold individually, but, since they present such a lovely "portrait" when displayed together, it was decided to introduce all three in the same year, rather than one a year for three years. |
