For the very first collection ever issued by The Lawton Doll Company, Wendy Lawton featured a group of antique reproduction dolls. Since Wendy knew she couldn't interest retailers in a single product, this 1983 group was intended to augment Alice in Wonderland - the first original edition.

These reproduction Shirley Temple dolls, made in composition, were among the most popular Lawton dolls in those early days (1980-1986). In the pink-background image above, the Shirley on the left is the Standard Shirley. The Shirley on the right is Baby Take a Bow. Also offered was an 11" Petite Shirley dressed in green organdy, a 36" Little Colonel, a 16" Little Colonel and a 16" Stand Up and Cheer.

Aimee, the little French reproduction in the foreground of the photo, came in an exquisitely detailed perambulator.
